Within Atelier Dugrip-Picard-Jacomet, everything is crafted by hand. Even paper is handmade.

Paper

Two mills handcraft the cotton paper sheets for the Atelier, the Moulin de Vallis Clausa, located in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, and the Moulin de Brousse in Brousses-et-Villaret, in Aude. At the mill, artists can directly get involved in the production of the paper that will be used in the printing of their estampes (woodblock print). They can also customise the pa- per by selecting the materials used to produce it.

Wood

Woodblocks are made of pearwood from Savoie, veneered on a Finish birch core. Thanks to the fine and dense pearwood grain and its extremely homogenous structure, the draw- ing is reproduced with great finesse. The maximum available format is 50x70cm.

Ink

The atelier only uses letterpress inks.
